Guerlain has opened its new skin care and makeup production facility, called La Ruche, in Chartres, France, at the center of the country’s “Cosmetic Valley.”  The brand, an arm of LVMH, has exclusively manufactured its products in France for nearly 200 years. The launch met with much fanfare, with Manuel Valls, the French Prime Minister, Bernard Arnault, president and CEO of the LVMH group, and Laurent Boillot, president and CEO of Guerlain, all in attendance. La Ruche employs 350 people.
